Reference years Based on this period (target year included) different levels of the selected measure can be calculated. The difference between the result of this calculation and the target year is displayed in the figure.

Reference level Week-specific Averages The reference level for a given week equals to the arithmetic mean of the available data for that week in the years of the selected period. Week-specific Trends Expected value of a linear trend fitted over years in the selected period. Week-specific Lower Quartiles The reference level for a given week equals to the lower quartile of the available data for that week in the years of the selected period. Yearly-average-week The arithmetic mean of the week-specific averages over the period. Summer-average-week The arithmetic mean of the week-specific averages over the period excluding calendar weeks between 48 and 12. Yearly Lower-quartile-week The arithmetic mean of values below the lower quartile based on all values in the selected reference period.
